These are stainless steel shims which set the correct travel of the pulley lever to the clutch fork assembly. The operating pin is in engagement with the pulley brake. Proper setting of the assembly reduces wear of the pulley brake and operation of the Clutch. Our shims are stainless steel. There are 4 different thickness shims used. Each size is individually packed and labeled. Our shims differ only in OD and ID so that they all arethe same size for this application. This is fully adaptable to the application and will fit your operating pin if it is not hammered and deformed from use. If you pin is not usable, we sell each of the replacement pins used in this application (GP-R1471R, GP-F2362R). The John Deere 720 service manual gives set-up procedure for the operating pin. There were extensive changes by Deere in the clutch operation for the number series two cylinder tractors. Early clutch fork bearings were different from the later one's where these shims and operating pins were used. Our 6 pc kit is a critical component when properly setting up this assembly.
