GP-C998R Bearing, Governor Thrust
GreenParts products are sold through these Trusted Dealers.
This thrust bearing is used in the waterloo John Deere tractors in the governor assembly. Typical installation is on the governor sleeve which is machined to accept one disc of this bearing pressed on and the inner cage and outer disc float. The bearing is now sandwiched between the arms of the swinging weights and the inside governor lever. This maintains a constant engine rpm where the throttle is set. Usual failure is related to poor lubrication, condensation, or long service life.
